So, to keep it plain and dry. Does anyone know when the raffles will start?
Thank you for your time.
Haven't heard of anything yet be sure to keep watching facebook and twitter.
Thanks, please drop me a line if you hear of it somewhere.
In years past Sponsor's were given seats to give away leading up to the event. While i'm not sure if that's the case this year, it would be a good idea to keep tabs on their Facebook and Twitter feeds also. (Everyone should already be doing this and thanking them for supporting the event we love!)
With VIP UAC, QDQ, and BYOC Select a seat..what's your seat total this year? Any idea?
Wikipedia (which is usually fairly accurate) says it's 2350.
I counted them on the map and it came up to about 2332. That doesn't include any seats in the NOC or the UAC lounge.
Just think in 2000-2001 I think? 1300 byoc was huge.
I have counters at the top of the page: http://findyourseat.info
Nice. Thanks for the info gnar. Gives me a good idea what their funds are before vendors. Of course. I know that so much of this stuff has to be paid up front. Doing the math though, when throwing an event this big. That's not very much money. Props to Qcon management/staff/volunteers for being awesome.
I'm going to have to look and see what I can do at home...you're webpage doesn't scale properly on my big monitors. There's huge white space between A/B/C and it shifts some of the rows making them uneven. Looks fine at work on 1280x1024.
What resolution are your work monitors?
Here at work is 1280x1024. I think at home it's 1920x1080.
If you can, please point me in the direction of where I can look for vendor shout outs on the vendor raffle. Is it specifically #quakecon, or are there other specific places to be watching? Thank you!
Follow each of the usual vendors on twitter/facebook/etc. I don't see a page on the QuakeCon site that lists this year's vendors/sponsors yet but many of the same ones return year after year. Look up nVidia, id, Bethesda, Alienware, AMD, Corsair, Intel, Razer, etc. I'm sure an official exhibits list will be released eventually if it hasn't already.
I won a seat off Modders Inc. Facebook page last year. and the official QuakeCon twitter page the year before that. Just a few sources to look into
Edit: Oh and i remember Magic Box Solutions had a giveaway on their Facebook page last year as well. Dunno if they are still a vendor this year but doesn't hurt to check into.
Just so you know. Your name makes me hungry for Jersey Mikes.
Haha Jersey Mikes is the shit. This will be my 9th QuakeCon as AverageSandwich. Bring on the Rocket League Tournaments!
