any thoughts of bringing this back again since it's moving back to Gaylord?
For those of us who never attended at the Gaylord, what exactly is Quakejam?
It was basically an opportunity for local bands to sign up to play on a stage for attendees to watch. Just an organized jam session
And by local I mean they are usually part of the attendees
I'd watch that.
It would be neat if this was brought back. It really hinges on if qukaecon will give you a spot to hold it. Back in the early quakecons they let people just use the main stage at night for quakejam, then they changed it to the byoc stage. In the last few years I remember seeing it happen it was just people in the corner of the byoc with their gear playing. The last year I remember seeing it as an organized thing was in 06 might have gone on a few years longer, not something I ever went out of my way to addend but it was neat.
Make this happen! I actually have a band that is planning to attend all together this year and they would LOVE to do this!
Only thing I see holding this back from returning this year is the main stage has been separated by the exhibit hall 1 door, this year they clash no?? I can see late night security already thin having a issue with not enough bodies to keep the separation secured.
I remember the last time we had it I'd planned to play some Teancious D . . . so we're talking at least 10 years afaik haha
Me and my group will definitely be bringing our jamming shtuff. We brought them last year and had mini unofficial jamming goin on outside all the time. Lot's of fun, but would love the opportunity to do this on a stage if available!
